Isn't it so exciting that Guests can now experience enhanced thrills at Disneyland Resort with
MagicBand+? Our family recently purchased our first set of MagicBand+ and it has been so fun to discover all the features throughout the Disneyland Resort property, from interactive lights and haptics during select attractions and nighttime spectaculars, to scanning in for theme park entry, to searching for virtual bounties in
Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters. MagicBand+ really does take your visit to Disneyland Resort to the next level!
To answer your question, I first did a quick search of the available Magic Bands on
shopDisney.com and I found that both styles you listed are available in the MagicBand 2 edition. Unfortunately, only MagicBand+ versions are compatible at Disneyland Resort, so my first suggestion is to ensure that the device you wish to link to your Disney account is indeed a MagicBand+.
Then, you can follow the next steps to set up your MagicBand+ with your
official Disneyland mobile app:
- First, make sure that your MagicBand+ is fully charged and powered on, by pressing the button on the back. You'll also want to make sure that your mobile phone's Bluetooth is turned on.
- Open and log in to your mobile app where you will see the '☰' feature on the home screen menu. Tap the "MagicBand+" icon and then the (+) at the right-hand corner of your screen to add a new MagicBand+.
- You will notice a prompt in the mobile app to "Open Scanner to Link." Press this button and tap your MagicBand+ to the back of your mobile device to pair it.
- Your device will prompt you to follow a few more steps to assign your MagicBand+ to a ticket, and then you'll be ready to use all the exciting features during your next vacation!

troubleshooting tips for pairing your MagicBand+ with your mobile device. Or, you can always ask a friendly Cast Member in Guest Services to help. I suggest starting a live chat with them in the mobile app. Just tap that same '☰' menu feature and scroll down to the "Chat with Us" option!
