    Why can't I connect my magic band to my ticket?

    Hello Vince! I'm so happy you've trusted planDisney with your question and I hope we can get you all linked up and ready to use your MagicBand+ during your vacation.

    I'm so excited that the MagicBand+ is now available at Disneyland Resort! I think it will offer some really neat features for guests, from hands-free entry to the theme parks and valid Lightning Lane entrances, to interactive haptics and colors that sync with certain nighttime spectaculars and select attractions, to the ease of linking your Disney PhotoPass photos. MagicBand+ is really going to take your experience up a notch!

    Now let's get to troubleshooting so you can make the most of your time at Disneyland Resort. First, let's make sure that you are referring to the MagicBand+ rather than the earlier MagicBand and MagicBand 2 versions that may still function at Walt Disney World. At this time, only the MagicBand+ is supported for use at Disneyland Resort in California. If you need to purchase a MagicBand+ you can do so at various merchandise locations within Disneyland Resort or online. Once you've secured a MagicBand+ device, I suggest you download and open up the official Disneyland Mobile app and select the three horizontal lines on the bottom right-hand corner of your screen. There, you'll see multiple features available, including "MagicBand+" If your MagicBand+ has already been linked to your Disney account it will appear there, or you can select the button to "Add MagicBand+" by placing the center icon of your MagicBand+ near the back of your mobile phone. Be sure your Bluetooth connection is active before trying to pair the devices.

    A couple of other tips:
    Check to confirm you have enough battery level on your MagicBand+ and that your Disneyland app and your MagicBand+ software have both been updated to the latest version. You can also power your MagicBand+ off by firmly holding the button on the back of the band for a few seconds until it buzzes and the LED light turns red. You can see more troubleshooting tips for linking and resetting your MagicBand+ both within the Disneyland mobile app and the official Disneyland website. Lastly, you should note that each MagicBand+ device can only be linked to one account at a time. So, if you have previously linked your device to a different account, you may need to unlink it from that account first before proceeding.
