Hello, Jill! Welcome back to planDisney! We always appreciate our longtime fans.
I am happy to hear that another Guest will join you on your Disney adventure! Guests can easily be added to a Walt Disney World Vacation Package through the My Plans sections of your
My Disney Experience account. But adding a guest this way requires everyone to have the same package components, which means the tickets would automatically be added.
However, like Winnie the Pooh, your question made me "Think, think, think." I spoke with two different Cast Members at
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations, and both gave me the same answer you received. If you add your Guest at check-in, they will be considered a Day Guest and will not need to add tickets since they already have them. Just know that capacity restraints do apply, so you may want to double-check the maximum number allowed per room on the Walt Disney World website. Also, additional charges may apply if you add a third adult (18+) to your room.
Don't forget to make those
Disney Park Pass Reservations! Since your Guest won't be listed on the reservation until arrival, they will need to make theirs separately. I suggest scheduling at least one day to experience the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, which runs through November 19!
Thanks again for taking the time to visit us, Jill! We hope to see ya again real soon!
