    Can i add my grown children's name to my membership so they can take advantage of the annual pass discount

    Hello Janice!

    The discount on Walt Disney World Annual Passes is one of my favorite perks of being a Disney Vacation Club Member, so I can understand wanting to make the best use of it. If your adult children legally reside at the same address as you, they may purchase Walt Disney World Annual Passes with the discount as long as you are present to show your Disney Vacation Club Membership Card, and that your Photo ID’s had the same address. If your adult children reside independently, that is a different situation.

    You can have additional people named on your Membership as Associates. In addition to my own family’s Membership, I am an Associate on my parents’ Membership. This allows me to make and change reservations, transfer, bank and borrow points for them. It does not make me a Member on their Membership, legally or financially responsible for their Membership, and I do not receive a Membership Card for their contract so I do not receive Member discounts through their Membership. To add an Associate, please contact Member Accounting through Member Services. When we did this, there was no fee involved, though that may have changed.

    A Disney Vacation Club Membership is a legally deeded real estate interest. If you needed to add additional Club Members to the legal deed, you would also need to contact Member Services and speak to Member Accounting. There are usually fees associated with this type of transaction, and you may wish to discuss with Member Accounting, or your own legal or accounting professional before you do this to consider any tax, financial and legal implications of adding full ownership rights of your Membership to other adults.
