Hi Joan,
I am glad to hear that you have already been able to get your
Disability Access Service (DAS) set up before your upcoming vacation. All members of your travel party must be added during your initial setup call. If you need to add additional parties, you can do so by using the same video chat you used for your setup call.
At this time, DAS can only be set up for your immediate family members. It can also only be comprised of up to 4 total people including the qualified person with a disability. When you call to have them add your additional family members, be aware that even if they allow you to have more than 4 people attached to your DAS, you will likely only be able to take 4 of you on a ride at a time with a DAS return time.
There are
other options to utilize that will help ensure you all get to ride together. Rider Switch is a great option, especially for rides that the younger members of your party are not big enough to ride yet or do not wish to ride. If you have not already reviewed the
new accessibility guide, I recommend reviewing it to see all of the services that are available while you are on vacation at Disney World.
During your visit in July, you will also be able to pay for the
Disney Genie+ Service to reserve Lightning Lane entry for any members of your party who cannot be connected to your DAS. DAS and Genie+ will both enter the attraction queue through the Lightning Line. If you make a Genie+ reservation at the same time as your DAS return time, all members of your party will be able to enter and ride the attraction together.
Happy Planning,
Jenna
