How do i add gift cards

Hey there, Breanna, and thanks for allowing planDisney to help during your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. You're in the middle of the magic, so let's talk about using Disney Gift Cards during your trip. They're like spendable pixie dust!

Unfortunately, you typically cannot add Disney Gift Cards to your My Disney Experience account. The good news is that you can use these cards at many merchandise and food locations throughout the theme parks, Disney Springs, and Disney Resort Hotels. I have a secret tip for using them with ease!

In your phone's Notes section, type in your Disney Gift Card numbers, including a PIN, if you have one. When you are ready to check out for a mobile order in your app, you'll select "Use a Different Payment Method" on the checkout screen. Under "Payment Methods," tap the plus sign next to "Add a Card," then check the box next to "Disney Gift Card." From there, you can cut and paste the number from your Notes, or scan your card's barcode.

Once you've done this a few times, it's pretty easy. You can also hand your Disney Gift Card to a Cast Member at checkout in person.

You can also combine payment methods. Last week, I bought a fantastic painting at the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. I used a Disney Gift Card at the checkout booth, but still had a balance due. I was able to pay the rest with my Disney Visa credit card.

I've also noticed that a few of the smaller snack carts and vendors are now cashless, so keep that in mind for your visit. Those Disney Gift Cards are more useful than ever!

Breanna, I hope you make some magical memories on your Disney vacation. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
