Oh boy! Oh boy! Tessa, it is only one more sleep before your trip to the
Most Magical Place on Earth! Adding to the excitement: you have gift cards to help pay for your vacation. That calls for an extra "Hot Dog!"
You can add a gift card to your account by going to the Front Desk at your resort. And, as you ask, I recommend doing this when you arrive, especially if you use your
MagicBand+ or Key to the World card to charge food and merchandise to your hotel bill. When you check in, the
system processes an authorization hold of any balance to cover the balance on your room reservation plus $100 for incidentals. This amount will be updated throughout your vacation to cover the costs incurred, plus the $100 cushion. In my experience, the system processes for final payment on the last night of the trip. Having this arranged at the start means you won't have to think about it again. Hakuna Matata!
If you have a
Disney Gift Card or a prepaid Visa gift card, you can add it as the first form of payment before charges are applied to the card on file. Be sure to keep the cards (or email with the number). Any returns or refunds will be applied to the original form of payment.
Did you know you can combine Disney Gift Card balances online? I love getting them as gifts, and my kids do, too. We each have a card registered and then add any gifted gift cards to these. I also feel better knowing my gift card is registered, and I can check my balance.
Tessa, it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Disney! I hope you enjoy all your favorite things, as well as a few of the seasonal treats. The
Disney Eats: Holidays at Theme Parks and Disney Springs Foodie Guide 2025 is bookmarked on my laptop as I plan my trip next month. I cannot wait!
