If we add flights through Disney to our package, what type of ticket is given? Do we get to pick our seat? Are flights covered then by Disney travel insurance if we buy it too?

Hi there, April! It sounds like you're busy planning your trip to Walt Disney World Resort, and you've asked some excellent questions!

When you book your Disney Resort Hotel Package online, there is an option on the final screen with a link to book flights for your vacation; however, my recommendation would be to call the Reservations Center directly at (407) 939-7639. This way you can give the Cast Member your preferences for specific airlines, time of day you prefer to fly, and whether you'd like window or aisle seats. Some airlines charge a fee for certain areas of the cabin, so if you want to sit in an upgraded area, you can indicate this to the Reservations Cast Member, as well. Once the flights are added to your Vacation Package, you'll receive paperless tickets with a Flight Record Locator number. You will use this six-digit number to check your flight status and print boarding passes. Travel Insurance can be added to your Vacation Package for a small fee, and it will cover your flights.

Good luck with booking your Vacation Package, April! You'll be traveling during the most magical time of the yEAR, so if you need any advice about spending the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort, we're all EARs!
