How to add a family member to help me plan our trip?

Hello, Beatriz! Welcome to planDisney. I am glad you stopped by with this question so we can help you get set up to begin planning your great, big, beautiful tomorrow at Walt Disney World Resort with your family. Let's do this!

Beatriz, if you are with your family now, I recommend connecting using linking codes as the easiest way to add others to your Family & Friends List. It requires you to have your phones close enough to scan codes, but I find it the quickest way to connect.

    1. Open the My Disney Experience mobile app
    2. Go to the main menu (the "≡" at the bottom corner of the screen)
    3. Scroll to "Account" and tap on "Profile"
    4. On your Account page, select the tab "Family & Friends List" near the top of the screen
    5. Find "+ Add a Guest" and select "Scan their linking code"
    6. Have your family member follow the steps to get to their Profile. On the "My Profile" tab, select "Show My Linking Code"
    7. Scan the code and Bibiddi Bobiddi Boo! You should be connected!

If you are not together, you can connect with "I'll enter their name and age." With this option, you will need the name and email used on their MyDisney account. Once you enter this information, an email will be sent to your family member to confirm the connection.

Since you will be strolling down the middle of Main Street, U.S.A. tomorrow, if you have any challenges, your best bet for help will be the Guest Experiences Team. You can find these Cast Members throughout the parks by looking for big blue umbrellas.

Once you are connected, you can easily make and share plans that add magic to your day, like dining reservations, Boarding Groups to join a Virtual Queue, and selections for Lightning Lane entries for attractions and experiences if you choose to add this service to your theme park day.

Did you know that you can share Disney PhotoPass pictures by being connected as Family & Friends? If you or someone in your family has added Memory Maker to their admission, you can share photos (up to 25 people). I love the Magic Shots a photographer can add to your pictures. There are also special Tiny World Magic Shots and Super Zoom Magic Shots that are so creative and fun.

I hope this information answers your question and is easy to follow. If you have any other questions about planning a trip or enjoying your time at the Most Magical Place on Earth, please come back by planDisney. You have a friend in us!

    See 'Ya Real Soon!
