Welcome to planDisney, Rebekah! We are glad you brought your question to us.
I am a big fan of using Disney Gift Cards when I am visiting Walt Disney World Resort. I purchase them from time to time and put them away to save for my vacations. Having a set amount also helps me stick to a budget, like when I'm noshing my way around the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
At this time only credit and debit cards can be
stored as a payment method in your
My Disney Experience account. You are still welcome to use Disney Gift Cards to pay for in-app purchases, such as when placing
Mobile Food & Beverage Orders. Rather than typing in the gift card numbers each time I make a purchase, I store the numbers as a note on my phone so I can just copy and paste. I also have a Disney eGift Card in my digital wallet. Most shops and quick-service dining locations, including the festival booths at EPCOT, can scan my digital card.
If you'll be staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel and plan to use your
MagicBand or
Disney MagicMobile pass to charge purchases to your room folio, you can stop by the Front Desk at your resort to apply your Disney Gift Cards to your balance.
Did you know you can manage your gift cards at
disneygiftcard.com? You can transfer balances from one card to another and view the transaction history for your cards.
Rebekah, if you have any additional questions, please stop by and see us again anytime -- we are always happy to help. Enjoy your visit!
