How can I add a Disney gift card to my wallet before going to the park?

Hi Jennifer! Welcome to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by as you get ready for your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort. Let’s make sure your Disney Gift Card is ready for some magic before you even set foot on Main Street!

It sounds like you’re hoping to add your Disney Gift Card to your Apple Wallet. If you have a Disney eGift Card (like one purchased from DisneyStore.com), the easiest way is through the original email you received when the card was sent. Toward the end of that message, you should find a button labeled “Add to Apple Wallet.” Once you tap that, your eGift Card will appear in your Wallet, ready for contactless payments across the Disneyland Resort. It’s especially handy when you’re mobile ordering from Galactic Grill or treating yourself to something sweet from Candy Palace. Just a quick tap and you’re good to go!

If your card is a physical Disney Gift Card, it can’t be added directly to your Apple Wallet, but there’s a clever workaround that works like a charm. Start by signing in to DisneyGiftCard.com using your MyDisney account, where you can store up to six Disney Gift Cards (both physical and digital) and even move balances between them. Once logged in, add your physical card, then purchase a Disney eGift Card in any amount and add it to your stored cards. After that, transfer the balance from your physical card to your new eGift Card, and finally, use the “Add to Apple Wallet” option from the confirmation email to complete the process. Once everything’s transferred, your Disney Gift Card will be ready to use right from your phone, making it easier to pay for those Mickey-shaped beignets without missing a beat.

If you’d rather skip adding your card to your Wallet, you can still use it directly when shopping or dining around the resort. Just present your physical card in person, or manually enter the card number when checking out through the Disneyland app. I like to save mine in the Notes app. It makes mobile ordering a breeze and helps avoid typing mistakes when your hands are full of churros!

I hope this helps, Jennifer, and that your visit to the Disneyland Resort is filled with smooth payments, delicious snacks, and plenty of Disney magic!

    Enjoy your trip!
