Hey there! Hi there, Ellen! I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney as you finish your packing list for
Walt Disney World. With a trip so close, you can catch me humming, "I'm almost there!"
I know exactly where I am going, and it's getting closer and closer every day!Disney Gift Cards sprinkle an extra bit of Pixie Dust on a magical vacation. I buy them throughout the year to help plan for expenses and ask for them for holidays and celebrations for special souvenirs and experiences.
If you are like me and always have your phone close, a Disney Gift Card in your Apple Wallet makes it easy to pay for purchases without digging through a backpack and looking for cards. When I have a Cheeseburger Spring Roll at
Magic Kingdom in my sight,
I ain't got time for messin' around.Although you cannot add a physical card to your digital wallet, you can add a
Digital Disney Gift Card. Simply open the digital card delivery email on your iPhone and look for the option to add it to your wallet.
One tip: If you only have physical cards, you can purchase a $25 e-gift card and add it to your wallet. Register your cards on the Disney Gift Card site and transfer your balances to the digital one, up to $1,000 per card. I keep the cards, just in case I need to transfer funds back to them.
One more tip: If you'd like to use your Disney Gift Card to make purchases in the
My Disney Experience app, like
Mobile Food Ordering, you have to enter the gift card information each time. Before a trip, I type the number and code in Notes for a quick copy and paste. Like any other financial information, I am cautious with this and delete the note after the trip.
Ellen, I hope this helps, and
there ain't nothing going to stop you now as you are almost there! If you have any other questions, sweep back by
planDisney. We'll
work real hard for things to go your way.
