Add Disney cake to my reservation

Hi Rayna! Welcome to planDisney. Adding a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake is such a fun way to turn a special meal into an unforgettable celebration, and I’d be happy to walk you through how to make it happen.

Mickey Mouse Celebration Cakes are available at select table-service restaurants throughout the Disneyland Resort and can usually be added when you make your dining reservation. These cakes are a classic Disney touch (featuring that iconic Mickey design) and come in a few flavor options like chocolate or vanilla, making them a crowd-pleasing dessert for birthdays, anniversaries, or just celebrating a magical day together. To secure one in advance, the request does need to be placed at least three days prior to your dining date.

Based on your timing, it looks like that advance-order window may have already passed, but the good news is that you still have an opportunity. A limited number of cakes are often set aside for same-day requests. On the day of your reservation, I recommend stopping by the restaurant’s host podium when you arrive (or even earlier in the day if you’re nearby) to ask about availability. You can also check with the Concierge Desk at a Disneyland Resort hotel if you’re staying on property. Since quantities are limited, asking earlier in the day can give you the best chance of securing one.

If a celebration cake isn’t available, there are still plenty of sweet ways to mark the occasion. Your visit happens to line up with the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival, where marketplace booths offer a variety of creative desserts inspired by flavors from across California. It’s a great excuse to turn dessert into a mini tasting adventure. One of my personal favorites is the Snickers Macaron (it’s rich, shareable, and feels like a celebration all on its own).

I hope this helps you plan a celebration that feels just right, Rayna. If any other questions come up as you continue planning, we’d love to welcome you back to planDisney.

    Happy celebrating!
    David
