Welcome to planDisney, Meghan. I'm happy to help you out today!
Currently, there is no way to add a
Disney Gift Card to your
My Disney Experience account to be stored and used at a later date. However, if you would like to apply it to your vacation package balance, you can certainly do that. Simply log into your account, select "My Plans" from the My Disney Experience menu, and find your resort reservation. Next to the reservation, there should be a link entitled "Make a Payment." Follow the prompts and use the gift card information provided to you through email by Costco.
If you are looking for an easy way to keep your gift card handy to use while you are at the
Walt Disney World Resort, you have a few options. Here are the ones I've used:
1.) Print out the eGift with the barcode (obtained from your Costco email) and carry it with you to use at the resort to let the Cast Member scan when you'd like to use it.
2.) Screenshot the eGift with the barcode (obtained from your Costco email) and store it in your phone so you can pull it up for the Cast Member to scan when you'd like.
3.) Put the gift card information into a notes app on your phone so you can easily copy and paste the information into your
My Disney Experience mobile app when checking out using
Mobile Order and/or
Merchandise Mobile Checkout.
4.) You can add it to your Apple Wallet. While the gift card you purchased from Costco can't be added to your Apple Wallet directly, there
is a clever workaround. You can add the gift card to the
Disney Gift Card website by using the information provided to you through email by Costco. Then, you can use this gift card to purchase a
new digital gift card through
shopDisney. Once you receive the digital gift card from shopDisney in your email, you can click the "Add to Apple Wallet" icon.
Please note that you should always have a copy of the gift card handy in case a Cast Member needs to see it.
Meghan, I hope that this information helps and that you use this gift card to make lots of magic at the resort. If you have any other questions,
you can reach out directly to me.
Gold can warm your heart, but not your body,
Matt
