Do you actually swim with the fish and the sharks in Shark Reef at Typhoon Lagoon? Or is there a plexiglass divider in the water? Thanks! You all are great, my biggest WDW resource!

    Hi Gwen,

Yes you do actually swim with the sharks and fish at the Shark Reef in Typhoon Lagoon there is no divider. If you click this link HERE it will take you to the official web page for Shark Reef and it has photos and a video of the attraction.

My family and I did Shark Reef a few years ago and the scariest thing for us was the temperature of the water, it was freezing. There were lots of fish but they all kept their distance and the sharks tended to stay towards the bottom of the reef.

If you or your family are at all worried about swimming with the sharks there is a viewing area to the side of the tank which you could check out first before you make your decision. There are also lifejackets available free of charge for extra security.

I'm so glad you're enjoying the Moms Panel and I hope I've helped. Have a great trip,
