Hello, is there any activities in downtown Disney world for my 2 year old son?

Hi, Yanique!  Such a cool name!

There are mostly shops and restaurants at Downtown Disney, but that's never stopped me from bringing my little ones and finding things for them to do.  You'll find a bit of a Lego play area, where kids can build and create all sorts of things.  While you'll have to be careful with a two year old and Legos, my kids always had so much fun, and they usually have some of the larger bricks available.

There are two ride on attractions for little ones - a train and a carousel.  Both are geared for the younger set, and a nice way to ease into the coming attractions at Walt Disney World if this is the start of your trip.

You'll also find a great way to let kids have fun is in the Once Upon a Toy shop.  There are endless Mr. Potato Head pieces your son may want to play with, trying to put them into the Mr. Potato Head figures.  You can purchase them if you'd like, but lots of kids just play with them.

You may see some families playing with their little ones in the one fountain area at the very end of the Marketplace.  It's a jumping water kind of thing, and I've seen kids and grown ups alike cooling off on a hot day.

And if he's allowed, drop in at Ghirardelli for a free chocolate sample!  Or if he's not allowed, snag one for mom!

    Have a great visit!
