Welcome to planDisney, Megan! We are so glad you are here.
It sounds like you are going to be strolling through the gates of the Walt Disney World theme parks with your family and friends before you know it! I want to make that unforgettable first moment spectacular, so let's get you totally prepared for a smooth arrival.
There are a few different ways to answer your question, depending on the type of Disney theme park ticket you have:
If you purchased a dated Disney theme park ticket online, then I have some great news: it's already activated and ready to go! That means that if you purchased online, and selected the first date of your visit, then you are set. Just be sure that your Disney theme park tickets are linked in your My Disney Experience app, lace up your most comfortable sneakers, apply the sunscreen, and go make allllll the memories!
If you hold a
Disney Military Salute theme park ticket purchased at a US Military sales outlet, things are just a little different. An Eligible Service Member will need to swing by a Guest Relations or Disney Ticket Center window with a military ID to convert the voucher that you were given to an active Disney theme park ticket. This process only takes a few minutes and then you will be on your way.
Megan, please keep in mind that if you hold a Disney Military Salute theme park ticket, you will also need to snag a
Disney Theme Park Reservation for each day that you would like to visit a theme park.
My
planDisney Pal, Jana, shared with me that if you are visiting Mickey & the gang with a One-Day Park Hopper Guest Ticket through a Cast Member, then that Cast Member will simply show their ID at the entry gate before you stroll on through.
Megan, we all know that capturing the perfect picture on our Walt Disney World Resort vacation can keep us smiling for years to come. That's why I want to encourage you to consider adding
Memory Maker to your upcoming visit! That way, you can download all of the photos taken by talented
Disney PhotoPass photographers and on select attractions during your visit window. Then, you can slip your phone into your pocket and be totally present with your people, which is what it's all about.
I hope that helps, Megan! Please let us know if you have any other questions. We're here for you!
Wishing you many magical memories,
Sally
