We have accumulated A LOT of Disney gift cards over the year between birthdays and holidays, I was just wondering if we can use them to pay for dining plan while staying at a DVC resort on points? I didn't know if there was a limit of cards we could use.

    Hi Kristen!

"Welcome Home!" Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Vacation Club Moms here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Disney Gift Cards are a great way to save some extra money for an upcoming Disney vacation. We do this too, and often end up with a small stack of them before each trip. I did speak with Member Services about your question. You can use a maximum of two Disney Gift Cards to purchase the Disney Dining Plan. This must be done by calling Member Services. While you can add the Disney Dining Plan using the DVC Member website, that method will only allow you to use one Disney Gift Card.

I do have an alternate idea for you. I spoke with my local Disney Store about your situation. If you have a Disney Store locally, they can consolidate your multiple Disney Gift Cards into one. You would then be able to use that one card to purchase the Disney Dining Plan! Unfortunately, this process cannot be done online, and must be done in person at a Disney Store.

Remember, you can also use the gift cards while in the parks to pay for souvenirs, and to pay for any additional snacks, or the tax and tip on your meals that is not included with the Disney Dining Plan. I hope this information is helpful for your vacation planning. Feel free to send us any additional questions that we can help you with!

    Have a magical day!
