Hiya, Matthew! Welcome to our happy little band of pixie-dusted
planDisney panelists!
I have three daughters and three grandchildren, so we routinely travel with a party of nine. The best bet for us has always been a
Deluxe Villa accommodation. I am not going to sugarcoat it, Matthew, if you are not a
Disney Vacation Club member or using member points, these accommodations can be a little bit pricey. But here's where it can be an amazing use of your vacation dollars. The villas have two and three-bedroom accommodations, which is a great way to keep larger families all together. Any of the villas that are one-bedroom or larger will have a full kitchen, so you can save some money by planning a few meals in your room, plus they have washers and dryers. If you're paying to check luggage, boy can this save you money. You need fewer bags, because you can pack less and toss things in the wash.
Another great accommodation for larger families is the family suites.
Disney's Art of Animation Resort just gets it right with this value accommodation for larger families. They offer
family suites, which can accommodate up to six people and feature a separate sleeping area and a small kitchenette. You'll need a second room, but as long as you have more than one adult in your party, you can book both rooms and ask for them to be in close proximity. Just
call guest services when you book to make your request.
Two standard rooms are also always an option, so you've got a few choices, Matthew! I hope you find one that is comfortable for your family!
