Hi there, Nancy! Greetings from those of us here at planDisney! We are so excited that you’ve taken the time to stop by and allow us to help you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort!
Winter is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World Resort! There are so many magical holiday touches you can see and experience across property. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend taking a look at all of the
special offerings that will be available throughout your trip! My personal favorite event is the
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays! This seasonal festival invites Guests to experience celebrations from around the world through music, storytelling, and food. There’s even a
Holiday Cookie Stroll that will entice your sweet tooth as you make your way around the World Showcase!
To answer your question, theme park tickets and theme park reservations are actually two separate things! Prior to booking your theme park reservations, you will need to
purchase theme park tickets. After doing so, you can head over to the
Disney Park Pass system and make your theme park reservations. At this time, all Guests must make a theme park reservation before entering the parks. If this system is no longer used, your theme park tickets will function the exact same and no change will be required on your end!
If you are interested in visiting multiple parks a day during your stay, you may want to look into the
Park Hopper option! Park Hoppers allow Guests to visit more than one park each day which means doubling all the fun you can experience! Guests can enter a second theme park using the Park Hopper option after they have made a reservation for their first theme park AND entered this theme park. Once you are ready for your next park, you will be able to hop on over to your next destination after 2:00 pm until the official park closing time!
Best of luck as you continue to plan for your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort this December! Please let us know if we can assist with planning any other parts of your stay!
