What accommodations are available for a family of five without getting a suite? We have two teenagers and a 6 year old and do not anticipate being in the room too often. We would rather spend more on family fun than the room

Hello there, Sara! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for reaching out and allowing us to help you with your accommodations inquiry!

It can definitively be challenging to find accommodations for families larger than four at times. Fortunately, Walt Disney World Resort offers a wide variety of accommodations that can fit just about any family configuration!

It actually sounds as though your family would fit perfectly within a specific type of room available at certain Disney Resort hotels. This room type boasts the addition of a child-size pull-down bed. These beds are slightly smaller than a twin bed and would likely be ideal for your younger child. Five sleeper rooms are currently available at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Port Orleans - Riverside. Both resorts are absolutely gorgeous and offer Guests a variety of amenities. Personally, I adore both Disney Resort hotels and have difficulty choosing between the two when planning my own vacations. If your family prefers a colorful beach setting, I would recommend choosing Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. If your family is seeking to experience the leisurely Southern charm of rural Louisiana, I would recommend staying at Disney’s Port Orleans - Riverside.

Regardless of your decision, both Disney Resort hotels will make an excellent setting for your family’s adventure!

Have fun continuing to plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
