Accidentally linked my daughter’s magic band to my name and not my daughters. Hasn’t been used, is there anyway to unlink and link it to her ?

Greetings, Jose, and welcome home! You'll be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort any minute, and I'm so excited for your family to make some magical memories. MagicBands are my favorite arm candy, so let's look at how assigning them to your family works.

Typically, once a MagicBand is assigned to a guest, it's for life...like Carl and Ellie! But since you made a technical error, I suggest you contact the My Disney Experience and MagicBand helpline to explain what happened. You won't be able to reassign the band yourself, but they might be able to help you virtually.

Remember, once a guest has used a band, there isn't any way to make changes, so please reach out as soon as possible. If you're already on property but haven't scanned into a park yet, you can also stop by Guest Relations outside any theme park entrance. There's no guarantee they can switch the band to your daughter, but I'm sending pixie dust that they can.

You can also purchase another band for your daughter once you arrive. Most gift shops at Disney Resort Hotels, Disney Springs, and inside the theme parks offer bands of all colors and themes. I always say I can never have too many MagicBands; I need one to match all my outfits!

A final option is to request a complimentary Key to the World card at your Disney Resort Hotel or Guest Services. This card can be your little princess' room key and theme park ticket. I've seen kids wear their cards on a lanyard, but when my son was small, I held onto his for him!

Jose, I hope your visit is full of magic and memories! Please stop by planDisney anytime.

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
