Hi there, Barbara!
Welcome to planDisney! There’s nothing quite like experiencing Disney magic on vacation regardless of the destination! In the past 3 months, my husband and I have taken to the air like everyone’s
favorite flying pachyderm and managed to visit three Disney destinations.
Walt Disney World Resort,
Disneyland Resort, and
Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa all provided incredible experiences, each with their own unique bit of pixie dust.
I understand that you accidentally purchased theme park tickets to Walt Disney World Resort in Florida when you intend to visit Disneyland Resort in California. Unfortunately,
Walt Disney World theme park tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable, and because Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are two different entities, it is impossible to exchange theme park tickets between the two destinations. If you still hope to experience the magic of Disneyland Resort (and I hope you do,
Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT is top tier in my book), you’ll need to
purchase new theme park tickets specifically for Disneyland Resort.
While I know this is not what you were hoping to hear, I do have some good news for you! Your Walt Disney World Resort theme park tickets will never lose their value, so you’ll be able to
apply them to the cost of new tickets for a future visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth when the time comes. I can assure you that a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is an entirely different experience from a visit to Disneyland Resort, and I firmly believe everyone should experience both.
I hope this was helpful, Barbara, and that you’re able to squeeze a bit of magical lemonade out of these lemons. If you need any additional help with making plans for Disneyland Resort,
my West Coast pals Cam, Jen, Melissa, and Tiffany would be happy to help!
Thinking happy thoughts,
Lizzie
