Hi Jennifer!
Welcome to planDisney!
The holidays truly are the most wonderful time of the year, and they are even more magical at the Walt Disney World Resort. They are also one of the most popular times to visit, so I am glad you are planning ahead and making those all-important Disney Park Pass Reservations.
The way the system is set up, you cannot modify, or swap your Disney Park Pass Reservations. You have to cancel the reservations you have and confirm that cancelation, then go back in and make a new Park Pass Reservation. Depending on what park you were hoping to book, I do want to give you a word of caution, several of the theme parks no longer have availability during the weeks surrounding Christmas and New Year. Be sure to triple-check that the park you want is available on the day you want on the
Disney Theme Park Availability Calendar, before you attempt to cancel and rebook. I would hate for you to cancel and then not be able to get the alternate park, and then have someone else snag your canceled reservation leaving you with nothing.
To cancel your Disney Park Pass Reservation, I find it easier on a desktop computer. Go to the
“My Plans” page of your My Disney Experience Account. Scroll down to see your itinerary, and next to your Disney Park Pass Reservation you’ll see an option to “View Details.” Select this option and on the following page, you’ll be offered the option to cancel your reservation.
Then you’ll need to
make your new Disney Park Pass Reservation for the date you wish. If you find that you can’t find availably for the park you were hoping for, hold onto that first reservation. If you have the Park Hopper Option, you can always hop to an alternate park after 2 PM.
I hope this helps as you finalize your holiday plans, Jennifer! Wishing you a magical visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort!- Kate
