I want to use the Accessible Minnie Van service for my upcoming trip (2 family members will have scooters), but the website says you get 1 complimentary car seats for Accessible Minnie Cans, but we need two. Can I request an additional car seat?

    Hello, Ashley!

Thanks for bringing us a question. I have yet to see a more adorable transportation option than Minnie Van Service Connected by Lyft. I wish I could ride in polka-dot style back home, but I suppose I'll just have to save that extra bit of magic for my travels around Walt Disney World Resort.

As you have likely seen, standard Minnie Van vehicles are equipped with 2 child safety seats. These do not need to be requested in advance. You'll just need to allow time for the driver to install and adjust them according to your child's size once they meet you at the pick-up location. These vehicles can accommodate up to 6 guests. Accessible Minnie Vans can accommodate a maximum of 7 guests including 1 child seat, 2 wheelchairs or ECVs, and 4 guests in standard seats. I went through the process of requesting one through the Lyft app just now, but there wasn't a place to note any additional child seat requests.

I reached out to a Cast Member who confirmed that two child safety seats are available in standard Minnie Vans, but unfortunately, they couldn't confirm whether a second seat would be available for installation when requesting an accessible vehicle. I think that the seating configuration of these vehicles might only allow for one car seat based on this text I found in my research "accessible Minnie Vans include seating for 4, space for 2 wheelchairs and 1 car seat." It's certainly possible that a second seat may be available, but I can't make any guarantees. It might be best to split your party into two vehicles or utilize one of the other complimentary transportation options to keep your party together. Your party will find accessible transportation via bus, Disney Skyliner, Monorail, and watercraft. Check out some of our favorite transportation tips here.

I'm sorry I don't have a more definitive answer for you Ashley. I'd recommend checking with your resort Front Desk or a Guest Relations location in the park to see if they have any more insight when you arrive. You can also check with a Minnie Van driver if you happen to cross paths with them as you make your way around the resort.

    Magic and memories,
    Amy
