Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney. How exciting that you are looking to get a little extra Zip A Dee Doo Dah in your day using the stairs to access your Disney Resort Hotel Room at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. I certainly admire your desire to go the distance!

While I believe it is your personal choice if you prefer to access your room via the stairway instead of the elevator, I was unable to secure a firm answer to your question. Guest Services was unable to confirm the stairwell policy for that specific Resort. What you can do is call the Resort directly to inquire if this is available or check with the Front Desk upon your arrival. Keep in mind you will get a lot of walking in at each of the theme parks. But I know my daughter is not a fan of elevators and prefers to take the stairs whenever possible. To reach the Resort, you can call (407) 824-1000.
