Are there other acceptable forms as proof of So-Cal residency to take advantage of then So-Cal discounted ticket offer aside from government issued ID? We are planning a family trip to visit Disneyland with our So-Cal college student.

    Hi there, Debbie.

Welcome to planDisney and thanks for coming to us with your question. My wife and I will soon have a child leaving for college (where does the time go??) and part of me is hoping that she decides to attend a college in Southern California which would give me more excuses to visit the Disneyland Resort!

The Southern California Resident Ticket Offer is a fantastic deal that gives you a 3-day, 1-park per day ticket at a highly discounted price. I'm afraid that we've spoken to multiple Cast Members about this offer and they are quite clear that only a government-issued photo ID will suffice as proof of residency. I'm sorry if that's not the news you were hoping to hear.

It'll still be an exciting time to visit the Disneyland Resort next year. I'm especially excited for the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration beginning on May 16, 2025! In order to help you plan your visits, the Disney Parks Blog recently released all the special event dates for 2025.

Debbie, I'm sorry again for the news but I hope you'll still be able to enjoy The Happiest Place on Earth with your college student child. Please return anytime you have more questions. We're always happy to help.

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
