Are you able to upgrade your Florida resident Discover Disney tickets to a park hopper ticket on a per day basis, or only all together at the initial time of purchase?

Hi Rebecca! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

As a Florida Resident, my family and I have taken advantage of the Florida Resident Discover Disney tickets many times. The 3-day tickets for $159 are a great deal for us Floridians!

Here’s what you need to know about your tickets. You can upgrade your resident ticket to a Park Hopper for a flat rate of $20 when you initially buy your tickets. All 3 or 4 days, should you choose to add that fourth day for $20 more, will be Park Hopper tickets, which will allow you to visit all 4 Walt Disney World theme parks on the same day.

It’s a better value if you purchase the Park Hopper option up front because if you choose to upgrade after you’ve used 1 or 2 days of those tickets, that upgrade will still cost you the flat $20 fee. It will not be discounted because you have used any days on your Discover Disney ticket.

As you know all rates are subject to change so please check with a Cast Member to verify these prices.

There are a few things to remember, before you can redeem your tickets you have to show proof of Florida Residency. You can do this at any of the 4 Walt Disney World theme park ticket windows or at Guest Relations. Also, you must use your tickets and any options purchased for them by June 24, 2018.

Rebecca, I hope this clears up any questions you have about the Florida Resident Discover Disney tickets. If any other questions come up as you’re planning your magical trip, please feel free to stop by again!
