If we are only able to make the trip to Disney once what age is a good age to go? I have a two year old and am not sure if a small child would take advantage of as much of the park as an older child. Is there much for a little guy to do or is later better

    Hi Katie!

Thanks for stopping by to ask me a question! It is a tough question too!

The perfect age is so hard to decide on. Between the ages of 2 and 4, Walt Disney World is truly magical to kids. They aren't yet in the stage of analyzing how things work. Every encounter with a new Character or experience is full of wonder and amazement. As a parent, I think this is best time for a child's first trip. Seeing your child light up when he's met THE Mickey Mouse is a feeling that's hard to experience elsewhere. Of course, the downside is that he'll be unlikely to remember many of the details (outside of pictures and videos from your trip).

There are plenty of rides and activities for kids that age too - no worries there.

If waiting a little longer is important to you, the next great age is about 6 or 7 years old. Kids this age are ready for excitement,. They're raring to go. And, they are often big enough for just about every ride in the parks. Of course, you may catch your son trying to figure out how things work, how certain things interact and find out the "why" behind things... but they will still have a great time.

Personally, I opt for the earlier years. You never know, maybe you'll find that you love it so much that a chance to revisit in another 5 or 10 years will make it to your priority list!

Hope I've given you a few things to think about!
