Will I be able to track what my children spend on their magic bands? We are staying at a Disney Resort.

    Hi Lisa!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I still distinctly remember the first vacation as I child when I learned you could "charge to the room" and I'm glad to let you know there is an easy way to track and avoid the surprise $100 ice cream bill my parents had at checkout!

First thing, when you do online check-in prior to arrival or at the front desk when you arrive you can set up who has charging privileges and who doesn't. For everyone you grant charging capabilities to, they'll need to set up a pin that they enter when charging to their MagicBand. I like to think of it like a bank pin for a debit card, except it's a cute little Mickey Mouse around your wrist!

If you do decide to give your kiddos charging capabilities, you can easily check your current charges either at the front desk or conveniently in your My Disney Experience mobile app. Once you are logged in to the app, under My Plans you'll click on your Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation and then simply View Charges. Here you'll see a break down of all your charges as well as details on which individuals band it was charged to in your room.

Please come back and let us know if you have any other questions before your trip!
