Hello Andrea and welcome to planDisney!
Your love for the Mickey shaped beignets is hitting home for me!
Scat Cat’s Club Cafe put the yay in beignets! I’ve never had the gluten free version, but I do have a daughter who is on a gluten free diet, and she would love to try them!
Andrea, guests can use rideshare services to visit the Disney resorts on property, but your experience at the security gate could be different at each resort. Be prepared to answer some questions about your plans and the length of your visit to
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort-French Quarter and have an ID ready to show the gate keeper. The Mickey shaped beignets at Scat Cat’s Club Cafe are such a major attraction that I’m sure the security gate at French Quarter is used to seeing a steady stream of fans coming through to get their fill of the powdery goodness!
Disney resorts typically allow for short-term visits and self-parking for guests who want to shop or dine at the resort. Busy times of the year may require proof of dining reservations to visit.
Andrea, while you are enjoying your beignets, take a scenic walk along the Sassagoula River! The French Quarter grounds are so peaceful, and it is one of my favorite places to stay at Walt Disney World! Another hidden gem is
Scat Cat’s Club Lounge with live jazz music Thursday through Sunday at 7:30pm! Jazz and beignets, perfect!
Andrea, have a magical trip and don’t forget to enjoy a Mickey Bar or two!
Kurt
