    Am I able to make a reservation to bring my kids for a pony ride at Fort Wilderness? We are locals and would like to drive there.

     Welcome back to planDisney, Christina. We're delighted to see you again! It looks like you plan on visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in just a few days. How exciting!

     Tri-Circle-D Ranch at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is truly a hidden gem. I visited for the first time a few years ago to film a planDisney Podcast, and I was completely charmed by this rustic stable and its majestic horses! You ask a great question about visiting Tri-Circle-D Ranch. While you can make a reservation for Trail Rides, pony rides are only available on a walk-in basis. Pony rides are offered daily with the last ride of the day 30-minutes prior to closing. The Pony Rides page on the Walt Disney World Resort website states that, "Riders must be at least 3 years of age, under 80 pounds, no taller than 48 inches and able to hang on by themselves. A parent or guardian must lead the pony at all times."

     Did you know that Holiday Sleigh Rides are available most dates in December at Tri-Circle-D Ranch? This horse-drawn excursion through the festive campground sounds fa-la-la-la-fabulous! Sleighs can accommodate up to 2 adults and 3 small children, making this Christmastime experience perfect for families to enjoy together. Reservations can be made online or on the My Disney Experience mobile app.
