Are you able to rent motorized wheelchairs at all of the theme parks? If so, how much are they per day?

Disney does not have motorized wheelchairs at the the parks; however, they do have regular wheelchairs and ECVs at the parks. Prices can change, but currently wheelchairs rent for $10 per day and ECVs rent for $45 per day. To learn more about the wheelchair situation at Disney, I would go to the website allearsnet.com. Click on the search button (near the top right) and search for an article called "Wheelchair/Scooter/Electric Convenience Vehicle (ECV) FAQ."

If the Disney option does not seem right for you, there are many private companies that rent wheelchairs and ECVs in the Orlando area. Most will pick up and deliver right to your hotel. I personally do not have any experience with any particular company, so I can't make a specific recommendation. However, I will tell you that many of the non-Disney scooters I've seen in the parks are from Buena Vista Scoot Rentals (buenavistascooter.com). That's probably a good place to start your investigation. Then if you Google "Disney wheelchair rental" you'll find many more options.

Another resource you should look for is a book called PassPorter's Open Mouse for Walt Disney World. This is the definitive guide for anyone visiting WDW with any sort of physical issue. The potential challenges with each attraction are described in great detail. You can get this book at Amazon.com or from major booksellers.
