Hi Weston,
Thanks for bringing this question to us today. I'm excited to hear that you are a Magic Key holder and plan to renew for another year of magic.
Magic Keys are currently eligible to renew up to 30 days prior to their expiration date so you'll want to be sure to confirm your date in your
Disneyland App. You'll see your Magic Key's expiration listed beneath the barcode within the "Tickets and Passes" section of your app.
A friend of mine recently shared her plans to renew her Magic Key using a
Disney Gift Card. Unfortunately, she discovered that she was unable to do so online using a gift card as the method of payment. She
reached out to a Cast Member who explained that she could use a gift card, but would need to visit in person to complete the renewal. As an out-of-state resident, this wasn't a short trip, so she opted to use her credit card to complete the transaction before her Magic Key expired.
Policies are subject to change so I'd recommend inquiring with a Cast Member in person if you have an upcoming visit planned. If not, you'll be able to
complete your renewal online using another method of payment.
I'm not sure when you'll be visiting next, but
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is set to kick off in just a few short weeks. You won't want to miss
Haunted Mansion Holiday, one of my favorite attraction experiences, should you be visiting this fall.
Beginning November 10, the halls will be decked across Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park for the holiday season. I visited last December and loved everything from the snow flurries near "it's a small world" to the
festive decor and seasonal treats in Cars Land. I hope you'll be able to visit soon to experience all the magic.
Weston, please stop back and see us again with any additional questions. We're always happy to help.
Magic and memories,
Amy
