Rising Moons, Amy and welcome to planDisney!
I'm currently amidst my travels to
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and responding to you from the marketplace on Batuu, which is definitely one of the fun perks of being able to research at the Disney theme parks around the world! It sounds like you're looking to be one of the denizens lurking in the shadows of Black Spire Outpost after dark when you attend
Disney After Hours at Disney's Hollywood Studios this summer, and I'm happy to provide you with a few intergalactic insights about what you might be able to expect during your visit:
- I had the opportunity to attend a Disney After Hours event recently and there really is nothing like enjoying the theme parks with far fewer families wandering about with lower waits for rides and attractions that remain open. In my experience, Droid Depot also remained open for any evening explorers looking for any walk-up availability to assemble an astromech droid unit of their very own! I popped by to speak with the citizens of Batuu overseeing the workshop and they let me know that though they do often remain open after hours for shoppers and smugglers alike, there is no guarantee for droid building as offerings are subject to availability and may change without prior notice.
- At the current time, bookable slots do not extend beyond 9:00 p.m. so the Cast Members recommend dropping by and asking them on the day what availability may look like for the rest of the evening (since you can enter Disney's Hollywood Studios as early as 7:00 p.m. with your Disney After Hours ticket).
In the meantime, I also recommend looking into the newly-released
Capture Your Moment sessions here on Batuu for a way to immortalize your adventures, and stay tuned to the upcoming
Star Wars happenings on the Disney Parks Blog for any new updates that you might be able to enjoy before you make the voyage over here in July!
Wishing you all the best in your quest to assemble the droids you're looking for after dark!
