Hello there, Wayne!
Thanks for stopping by with this question. It sounds like you're getting ready for a summer visit and I'd love to help you make the most of your trip!
While a vacation package can currently be reserved with an initial deposit of $200, I find it's easier to book online vs. the My Disney Experience App. Head on over to the main
Walt Disney World Resort webpage and you'll notice a header to Build Your Vacation. Input your dates and desired length of stay to view rates and any
currently applicable special offers. Once you've decided which
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel best fits your needs you'll have the option to add Theme Park tickets to your resort stay. As you check out for your room and ticket package you'll be prompted to pay the initial deposit, with the remaining balance due 30 days before your scheduled arrival.
If you are already in the
My Disney Experience App you can access the website via the plus sign at the bottom center of the screen. Click "Buy Tickets and Passes" and then "Theme Park Tickets" where you'll be redirected to the main Walt Disney World Resort webpage. There, click the three horizontal lines at the top left corner of the page, select "Places to Stay" then scroll down to search for your preferred resort. Once there, follow the steps above to complete your vacation package purchase.
While
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will be wrapping up July 5,
TRON Lightcycle / Run will be making its debut this April and is sure to be a stand-out attraction at Magic Kingdom Park all summer long! I know I'll be setting aside time to snag a boarding group via
Virtual Queue during my own visit in July. If thrill rides aren't your cup of tea, you may be glad to know you can once again enjoy a leisurely ride on Walt Disney World Railroad, which recently re-opened to delighted guests after a 4-year hiatus.
Feel free to come back to planDisney and ask us more vacation planning questions. We can't wait to help!
Wishing you a magical visit,
Amy
