Hi Daniel!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question - I'm happy to help!
If you're looking for a truly unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration,
EPCOT is the place to be! The World Showcase lights up with festivities, and each pavilion adds its own flair to the night. You can dance, enjoy live music, and taste special food and drinks from around the globe. Some pavilions even host their own midnight countdowns, meaning you can ring in the New Year multiple times in one night!
One of my favorite memories was celebrating with the Cast Members in the France Pavilion while boarding
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure just as midnight struck in France - such a magical moment! We loved saying “Bonne année” to all the happy Cast Members as they celebrated. We also spent a good chunk of the night in the China Pavilion, where a DJ, a dance floor, and an epic fire-breathing dragon kept the party going. It was beyond amazing, and I'll admit, quite a challenge to get my daughters to go anywhere else throughout the night! The grand finale, of course, is EPCOT's stunning fireworks display, complete with an awesome countdown to the New Year.
Even with holiday crowds, you should have no issue getting into EPCOT early in the day on New Year’s Eve. Just keep in mind that re-entry later in the day isn’t always a sure thing if the park hits capacity. You’ve got a good shot at getting back in, but during super busy times, Disney may limit entry to manage the crowd. My advice? If you plan on leaving for a midday break, try to return before the park gets too full, or simply stay in the park to soak up all the magic! Last year, I had to step out for a bit and was worried I wouldn’t make it back in time for the midnight countdown with my daughters. Luckily, I got back around 10 p.m. and was able to jump right back into the fun!
