Planned holiday in February 25. Does Port Orleans french quarter have microwaves in the rooms? Granddaughter still enjoys her bedtime milk.

    Hi Yvonne!

I’m happy to tell you that Disney really does think of everything when it comes to making sure families with little ones have a magical and stress-free experience.

While Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter doesn’t have microwaves in the rooms, the convenience of the microwaves in Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory makes it easy to warm up your granddaughter’s milk before bed. If you want to avoid nightly trips to the food court, you could also consider bringing a small, portable bottle warmer for added convenience. With a mini-refrigerator in each room, you’ll have a place to store her milk throughout your stay. And with the cozy size of French Quarter, everything is just a short walk away!

Here’s another magical tip for when you’re out enjoying the parks: Disney offers Baby Care Centers in each of the four Walt Disney World theme parks. These are hidden gems for parents and grandparents traveling with little ones!

Each Baby Care Center provides a quiet, air-conditioned space that includes:

    • Private nursing rooms
    • Changing tables
    • Microwaves for heating up food, bottles, or milk
    • Highchairs
    • A small shop where you can purchase essentials like diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, and more

Here’s where you’ll find them in each park:

Magic Kingdom: Near the entrance to the park, right between Casey’s Corner and The Crystal Palace on Main Street, U.S.A.
EPCOT: Located in the Odyssey Pavilion, between Test Track and the Mexico Pavilion.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Just inside the entrance to the park on Hollywood Boulevard, near the Guest Relations area.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park: To the left of the Tree of Life, near Creature Comforts

The Baby Care Centers are the perfect spots for a break during your park day, and if your granddaughter needs her milk warmed up, you can easily do that in a calm, comfortable setting. Plus, they’re great places to take a little breather in the middle of all the fun, or even grab a quick snack for her if needed.

I highly recommend taking advantage of these centers during your time in the parks—they can be real lifesavers, especially when you need a quiet space in the middle of all the excitement!

I hope this helps with your planning! If you have any more questions, feel free to stop by planDisney again. Wishing you and your family an absolutely magical holiday in February, filled with pixie dust, sweet moments with your granddaughter, and unforgettable memories at Walt Disney World!
