Hi Cortney,
As a mama to many Mouseketeers myself, I'm thrilled to hear that you're planning a visit to "The Most Magical Place on Earth" with many loved ones. There's truly no better place to vacation with a large family than the Walt Disney World Resort. Not only are there so many things you'll be able to enjoy together, but there's something simply magical about a Disney trip. Our kiddos try new foods, we spend a week together without screens, and our teenagers even willingly hold our hands! You're going to love experiencing the magic together and you'll cherish those memories for years to come!
I'm happy to let you know that yes, it is absolutely possible to ask for connecting rooms! In Disney-speak, a "connecting" room is two Disney hotel rooms that share a connecting door while "adjoining" rooms will be nearby, but could be next door, across the hall, or even diagonal from each other. While room requests are generally not guaranteed, I've been told when I place connecting room requests that priority is given to individual family units traveling with one or two adults and their kiddos and that they'd be able to make that happen for us. When staying in two separate rooms, we've always been placed in connecting rooms. Once you've chosen the incredible
Disney Resort hotel where you'd like to stay, I'd encourage you to
call to make your reservation so you can confirm that the particular hotel can meet your needs and you can go ahead and make a room request for connecting rooms. I'm sending some pixie dust that you find the
perfect home away from home for your trip.
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cortney, and please feel free to come see us again with any other questions as you're
planning your trip. I hope that you and your entire family have a truly magical vacation together!
Missy
