Are we able to do character dining in a resort if we are staying outside of the park? And if all I want to do at a particular kingdom is the character dining, do I have to buy a ticket into that kingdom too or can I just go for the meal and leave?

    Hi there Nicole!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question regarding Character Dining! Guests do not have to stay on property in order to dine at restaurants located at a Disney Resort hotel. In fact, my family has dined at Chef Mickey's, located at Disney's Contemporary Resort, when staying off property. I believe you are also asking about Character Dining in the theme parks. If that is in fact what you are asking, you would need to purchase a ticket in order to dine at any restaurant located inside a theme park.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Please don't hesitate to stop by again with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a magical trip, Nicole!
