I would like to be able to bypass the "guests with bags" line if possible and wonder if wearing a fannie pack or small cross body purse (to carry a small wallet/coin purse) means I need to go through that line.

Hey, Judy! Thank you so much for bringing this question to us. I do often hear Guests wondering this same thing as we are on the Walt Disney World Resort bus transportation, making our way to the most magical place on Earth. I can absolutely understand your worry. There you are - you have been planning this trip for weeks, months, years! You just glimpsed the tip top spire of Cinderella Castle from your magical coach (okay, it's a Disney bus), and you are THIS CLOSE to the wish you believed in with all of your heart really coming true! You unload the whole family from the bus (why do collapsible strollers have to be so complicated?) and race towards the entrance (it's really happening!). Then you see it: the security line for all Guests with bags. No need to cue the Haunted Mansion music, Judy. You will soon enough be singing "it's a small world."

Per the Walt Disney World Resort Park General Rules, all persons, bags, parcels, clothing, and other items may be subject to screening/security checks at the Park entrances and also within the Parks. This does include even the smallest of small bags. No need to fret just yet. In my experience, these bag check lines move very quickly.

To help alleviate any wait you may experience to have your bag checked, I have a few tips for you. Make sure you take the time to unzip every compartment of your bag and remove the bag from your body, even crossbody styles with long straps. From what I have noticed over the years, many Guests arrive at the parks in the late morning, causing a small wait to enter. We usually arrive at the park before opening and have little to no wait at security points.

I hope this helps you plan your visit a little easier, Judy. Please stop by again if you have any further questions for us.
