Are we able to bring the little stadium seats on to watch fireworks or parades? My older parents are going to join us for a couple of days in March. I’m wondering if we can bring those seats or pads? Do we need to just stick to getting them a bench early

    Hiya Jennifer!

Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney! I hear that your parents will be joining you on your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. As a child, my parents used to take me to Disneyland Park almost every summer and I have such fond memories of those visits. Even though I'm an adult and have kids of my own now, I still enjoy it when my parents can accompany me on my trips.

I'm afraid that folding chairs are on the list of non-permitted items and therefore will not be allowed through security. However, you may bring pads into the park if that would help your parents. ECV and Wheelchair rentals are also available for rent for Guests with mobility challenges and that would provide a built-in seat for them.

Here are some tips I would offer for the different shows you might consider:

I hope these tips are helpful for you and your parents, Jennifer! I wish you the most wonderful trip to the Disneyland Resort and I love that this place can be a gathering spot across different generations. Wasn't that what Walt wanted in the first place when he first envisioned Disneyland? Please feel free to come by planDisney again with any more questions! We're here to help.

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
