Hello there, Daniel!
Welcome to
planDisney, and thanks for stopping by with your question about the
Disneyland Resort. I’m so glad to hear you have a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth in mind, especially if this will be your first visit. There is nothing quite like walking in Walt Disney’s footsteps in his original theme park here in California, and a coast-to-coast Disney Parks vacation that includes the
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida sounds absolutely amazing!
Theme park reservations can currently be made up to 180 days in advance of your visit to the Disneyland Resort, so if you’re thinking about a January trip, plan to purchase your
theme park tickets in July (a quick online search can help you calculate the exact date depending on when you intend to arrive). Reservations at one of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels become available for booking approximately 120 days in advance. So, if you plan to travel in late January of next year, mark your calendar for the last week of September to book your accommodations.
Additionally, you can begin booking tables at restaurants that accept advance dining reservations up to 60 days in advance. My favorite choice is Blue Bayou Restaurant at
Disneyland Park. It serves up delicious Cajun- and Creole-inspired cuisine and is located right inside the
Pirates of the Caribbean attraction! If you’re seated at a table near the water, be sure to wave to the Guests floating by in boats headed to the pirate-filled waters below. Keep in mind that if you’re not able to book a dining reservation for a restaurant on your must-do list, don’t worry. There's still the possibility of joining the
Mobile Dine Walk-up Availability list upon arrival, a feature in the
Disneyland mobile app for select dining locations.
I hope this information helps you plan a perfectly pixie-dusted vacation, Daniel, but if you have more questions, please feel free to
write back.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
