Are you able to book a 1 or 2 bedroom suite at the contemporary resort without being a club member ?

    Hello Liesl!

Welcome to planDisney! You’ll be happy to know that you do not need to be a Disney Vacation Club Member to stay in Deluxe Villa Accommodations! Deluxe Studios, 1, 2 and 3 Bedroom Villas are available to be booked with cash by the general public. Typically the villas become available for booking approximately 9 to 10 months in advance, and I always recommend booking early.

If you are interested in 1 and 2 Bedroom Villas, you’ll be looking at the beautiful Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. As a family of 6, we usually stay in the 2 Bedroom Villas and we find the extra space makes for a more enjoyable vacation for everyone. Teenagers need more space and eat a lot, and I have three of them! We use the full kitchen to prepare meals in our room, and the washer and dryer mean we can pack more efficiently. We like to head to the theme parks early in the morning so having breakfast in our room helps us get a good start on the day.

Disney’s Bay Lake Tower is a very popular location. You’ll be within walking distance of Magic Kingdom, and find favorite dining locations like California Grill and Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. You’ll also be a quick Monorail ride from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa meaning you have even more dining locations nearby to choose from.

There are also suites in the main building of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, but these are not villas and are not part of Disney Vacation Club. It can be a little confusing as some of these rooms are considered Club Level meaning they offer extra services and amenities, and have access to a concierge lounge with snacks and refreshments available throughout the day. You do not need to be a member of any club to book these rooms either. You may also want to consider these accommodations. It’s always a good idea to explore all your options as you plan your perfect vacation!

I hope this helps with your planning and that you’ll send more questions as your trip approaches, Liesl. We are here to help!

    Have a Magical Day!
