About Me
Hi there! I'm Shonette, a Midwest girl from the Buckeye state whose heart resides in The Most Magical Place on Earth! The first time I climbed aboard a Doom Buggy, this foolish mortal found home, and I'm always ready to "hurry baaaack" to my happy place! I wear the ears of wife, mom, Gigi, event planner, and work in education. As an out-of-state Annual Passholder, my equally Disney-obsessed husband and I often fly in for long weekend trips to relax in our favorite Resort hotels and eat at our favorite EPCOT restaurant--Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria! I love dessert parties, DOLE Whips, and the piano music at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. My family is my world, and our vacation memories are priceless. Being an empty-nester with adult children and preschool granddaughters means I plan a wide variety of magical trips. So, if you need help planning an adult-only getaway, a holiday extravaganza, or a trip with little Mouseketeers, I'll be your host----your planDisney host, ready to guide you to a magical vacation!
About My Family
Let me introduce you to The Most Magical Family on Earth! My Disney-loving crew resides in a tiny little town outside Dayton, Ohio. Still, you'll find us spending spare weekends, holidays, and "very merry unbirthdays" with Mickey Mouse and his pals! In middle school, I played the role of Snow White in our school musical, and I knew one day, my actual Prince Charming would come. Luckily, I found him in high school, and we've been happily married for over 30 years. We have a motto for our marriage, "Life is too short--so have nothing but FUN!" Our family includes a son who is a physics teacher, a talented pastry chef daughter, and a son-in-law who is a dedicated nurse. The happiest part about this magical family is our two preschool granddaughters, who lovingly call me Gigi. They've already inherited my enthusiasm for taking pixie-dusted vacations, and often, you'll find them using their vivid imaginations, packing their little suitcases, and pretending to hop on a plane to Walt Disney World Resort.
About My Disney Experience
My fairytale with Walt Disney World Resort began over three decades ago when my prince charming husband and I embarked on a once-upon-a-time honeymoon. Since then, I've been completely captivated by the enchanting magic of Disney, and my life's storybook is filled with the tales of raising my children on pixie dust through toddler days, holidays, graduations, and wedding celebrations. Now, I'm continuing this magical journey with my granddaughters. My favorite thing about a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is that every visit brings something new, and it's become my family's tradition to do two new things every time we visit. Walt Disney World Resort is our home, but we also love visiting The Happiest Place on Earth to experience the epic world of Avengers Campus! Walt Disney's enchanting lands have been a significant part of my life's story, and becoming a planDisney panelist is a dream come true, allowing me to share my love for magical vacations!
