About Me
I believe in magic, that dreams do come true, and that food just tastes better when it's Mickey shaped! Besides being a huge Disney nerd and Star Wars fan girl, I am a former elementary school teacher and current stay-at-home-mom. I have lived my entire life in the Pittsburgh area. My husband and I have two children, and we all love to travel, especially to Walt Disney World Resort! For me, one of the best aspects of a Disney vacation is the way you become truly immersed in the magic. When I visit Walt Disney World with my family, it's easy to shut out the outside world and just focus on making memories together.
About My Family
I am married to my best friend, and we have two children together. I'm pretty sure my son's favorite part of visiting Walt Disney World is sampling all of the delicious food! He is particularly fond of Mickey ice cream sandwiches. When he's not on the lookout for his next yummy treat, my son loves riding Star Tours- The Adventures Continue and Space Mountain. My son has autism, and we are always so appreciative of how easy the Walt Disney World Resort makes it to vacation with someone who has special needs. My daughter is the thrill seeker in our family. She loves all of the exciting attractions at Walt Disney World, especially Expedition Everest- Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. My daughter also enjoys the various character dance parties that take place in the parks. In addition to my son and daughter, I also have one furry kid, our dog, Chewie.
About My Disney Experience
My first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort was on a high school band trip in 1994. I immediately fell in love with the magic of Walt Disney World, and I dreamed of the day that I would be able to visit with my own family. My husband and I first brought our children to Walt Disney World in 2012 when they were six and almost four years old. We made so many treasured memories on that trip. As we watched the fireworks in the Magic Kingdom on the last night of that trip, I remember wishing that I could do it all over again. Well, my wish came true, and I have been lucky enough to visit the Walt Disney World Resort numerous times since then. In addition to my many trips with my immediate family, I have also visited Walt Disney World with larger groups of extended family. I have also had the opportunity to take a girls' trip with some of my closest friends and a couple's trip with my husband. In addition to my many Walt Disney World trips, I have also had the opportunity to visit Disneyland Resort and Aulani- A Disney Resort & Spa and to sail with Disney Cruise Line. I am looking forward to putting all of my Walt Disney World knowledge to good use as a member of planDisney. I hope I can help make your Walt Disney World Resort vacation even more magical!
