About Me

Hi, from Michigan, I’m Rana! I wear many Mickey Ears: stay-at-home mom, wife, writer, content creator, PTO President, but my favorite role is “magic maker”! Creating magical moments that my family can look back on fondly is what I Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Do-Best! I’ve been known to host magical movie nights complete with yummy treats to match the theme (Gingerbread Wookie Cookies for Star Wars movie night, anyone?) and recreate some of our favorite Disney Cruise Line dishes (still working on that Churro Mickey Waffle recipe!). As a meticulous, hyper-organized, Disney lover, your girl loves a good checklist, especially when there are Disney vacation to-do lists that fill up my digital planner. Other hobbies that add magic to my life are reading, journaling, cooking and sailing aboard Disney Cruise Line as often as I can!

About My Family

My fellow Disney-afficionado husband and I have two daughters who love Disney as much as we do. He’s a pharmacist who agrees that Vitamin Sea aboard a Disney cruise has remedial properties! We especially love that Disney Cruise Line allows us to feel like adults on vacation and not just parents taking their kids on vacation—as there are many adult-only experiences onboard that allow us to reconnect. (The best date nights are on a Disney cruise at sea in my magically humble opinion!) Our tween daughters have grown up on board Disney Cruise Line since they were babies and could practically give their own guided tours. Recently, they have started giving unofficial guided tours for our extended family members as we take many multigenerational Disney cruises. When we're not cruising with Disney (or giving unofficial guided tours) we're deep in the trenches of sports practices, piano classes, school events, family movie nights, Friday night bake-offs and love discovering all the fun offerings around our local Metro Detroit hometown.

About My Disney Experience

For us, it was all started by a mouse, who once showed us that the perfect family vacation does indeed exist! The first time I sailed on a Disney cruise I was blown away by the magical moments onboard as well as the ease (and actual fun?!) of traveling with our then babies. This encouraged us to visit Walt Disney World Resort a few months later, and through many multigenerational trips that followed, we discovered that Disney vacations are the perfect trips with grandparents, siblings, cousins and friends because there’s something fun for everyone! Another reason we came down with the 'Disney Bug' is because my family has a dietary restriction and, whether on a Disney cruise or in a Disney Park, we’ve always felt included and accommodated to, which we’re so appreciative to Disney for. Later, during a Land and Sea adventure out of San Diego, we visited Disneyland Resort, and discovered that Land and Sea vacations are our favorite, and the only way to make a perfect Disney cruise even more perfect! Since that first Disney cruise, we’ve made many core memories, had many multigenerational adventures, and proudly continue to raise our family in the most magical places.
