About Me
Hello there! I am Dr. Melinda Grant from Southern California. When I am not at Disneyland, I am in the classroom taking charge as Dr. Grant. I received my doctorate in Educational Leadership. I have been teaching high school math for over a decade (I can’t believe that). Education and learning have always been a passion of mine, so it has been a privilege to help develop my students’ confidence in Math. I love to listen to Broadway show tunes, watch anime, and read fantasy books in my free time.
About My Family
My park days look slightly different now that I am transitioning from a “Childless Millennial” to a “Disney Mom.” You can find my daughter and I singing and dancing loudly during the “Magic Happens” parade at Disneyland. I enjoy seeing her Disney interest change every time we go to the park. On special days, you might find me at Disney California Adventure grabbing a drink at the Pym Test Lab with my younger sister. Being with my sister at Disneyland is one of my greatest joys; she is my original Disney Buddy after all.
About My Disney Experience
Being SoCal natives, my mom would take me and my sister to Disneyland tons of times when we were younger. As I grew older, my sister and I would go to the park together and we felt like little kids with grown-up money! While Disneyland Resort is where I get my dose of Disney Magic, I have been to Walt Disney World, Disneyland Paris, Aulani, and most recently, cruised on the Disney Wish. I am also a Disney Vacation Club member, so I have years of magical vacations to plan. No matter how many times I visit, Disney has always been a source of joy and magic for me. Whether it’s a free dessert at Disneyland or even being the Grand Marshall in the Walt Disney World Parade. Disney always has me wondering, “What’s around the river bend.”
