About Me

I am a Florida Girl who has lived in Georgia long enough to claim both states as my own. I miss being close to the ocean but love having seasons! I am Type A Queen of Organization personality. I thrill in all the planning for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Choosing a resort, planning park days and making advanced dining reservations are part of the joyful anticipation of a magical vacation. Then when Mickey and Minnie greet us as our car passes the “Welcome to Walt Disney World Resort” sign, my alter ego takes over; I “Let it Go!” and enjoy being in the moment. I love the scents, the details in every view, the music, and being immersed in the stories. I am a Rope-Drop-to-close park-goer, but I have also learned to love an easier pace traveling with kids.

About My Family

My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary with brunch at Palo onboard the Disney Wonder in Alaska a few summers ago. By profession, he is a filmmaker. By nature, he is a comedian and mischief-maker (any other Loki fans?). He shared his sense of humor with our oldest son, who has a sideways smile that says you may not want to know what he is thinking. While he has a comical view of the world, he is also very serious and wants to become an aeronautical engineer. Our other son is a big personality, big dreamer who sees the world as Cinderella inspires us: "not as it is, but as it should be." He believes in courage, kindness and a little bit of magic.

With teens, our lives seem like constant movement and change. As they have grown, our traditions have evolved. The Barnstormer has been replaced with Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind as "the best ride on the planet ever!" Our annual gingerbread productions have moved from four-wall houses to Star Wars masterpieces, including the Millennium Falcon, an AT-AT four-footed walker and an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer. And our love of Legos has decorated our home with Cinderella Castle, several Mickey and Minnie creations and an entire Star Wars galaxy.

About My Disney Experience

My first family vacation was to Magic Kingdom Park when I was five years old. I am a bit of a thrill seeker, and luckily, I was tall enough to ride Space Mountain. I have been in love with this attraction ever since. I was also fortunate to grow up near Orlando. From marching in the parade with the Girl Scouts, to prom at Disney's Contemporary Resort, to watching my sons light the Christmas tree on Main Street, USA, Walt Disney World Resort is at the center of so many magical memories.

For me, nothing beats walking through the gates of Magic Kingdom Park. When the scents from the Main Street Confectionary meet the sight of Cinderella Castle, it's magic. It's time to step into a world of imagination and wonder. I get to be a kid - with my kids. Although I live in Georgia now, our Disney Vacation Club and Sorcerer Pass keep Disney close. One of our goals each trip is to do something new. We've enjoyed nearly every restaurant inside the Walt Disney World Resort parks and have stayed at many resorts, but there is still a long list of new adventures for our future visits.

We also love Disney Cruise Line and being members of the Castaway Club. A family favorite was seeing Alaska on the Disney Wonder. We have also enjoyed celebrating my in-laws' 50th anniversary aboard the Disney Dream, and my husband and I are still pretending to feel guilty when "apologizing" to our sons for the Disney cruise we took without them.

I'm excited to be a planDisney panelist, sharing my insight and advice to help you make magical memories at Walt Disney World Resort.
