About Me

Hi! I'm Corey - a husband, father of three, musician, and Disney dad from Southern California.

For the past 18 years, I've had the joy of guiding young people on their journey to adulthood as a high school instrumental music director. I teach band, marching band, jazz band, and orchestra, and I love every minute of it. Music has given me a way to build community, foster responsibility, encourage hard work, and instill pride in my students. You'll find me on Main Street, U.S.A., tapping a toe to the Straw Hatters and marching alongside the Disneyland Band.

Disneyland has always been a part of my story. Growing up just minutes away, I made countless memories - from getting my first Annual Pass in high school, to marching down Main Street with my own band, to the early days of dating my wife. And now, seeing the magic through the eyes of my children has made everything feel wonderfully new again.

Helping people have a great experience brings me so much joy, and I can't wait to share that passion with you. I'm excited to help you with all your planDisney questions!

About My Family

My wife and I have been married for 18 years and have created countless special memories at Disney parks. She’s an archivist, an avid traveler, and a lifelong Disney enthusiast - and even served as a planDisney panelist!

Our three children share our love of Disney. Living close to the Disneyland Resort makes it feel like our home away from home. We visit often - sometimes even short trips on weekend mornings - and that familiarity lets us slow down, notice the details, and enjoy new experiences, seasonal treats, and our favorite festivals.

As a family, we’ve recently traveled to Disneyland Paris, Walt Disney World, and sailed aboard several Disney Cruise Line ships. We also make annual trips to Walt Disney World for runDisney events!

We’re always ready for an adventure - whether shark diving in Hawaii, enjoying tea time in London, or hiking Machu Picchu. Adventure’s out there!

About My Disney Experience

I’ve always adored the detail and charm of Disneyland. Some of my fondest childhood memories come from riding Peter Pan’s Flight, floating over the park on the Skyway through the Matterhorn, and watching Tinker Bell soar across the sky during the fireworks. Those moments filled me with a kind of magic I still carry with me today.

These days, I’m constantly asking, “How do they do that?” I’m the person peeking around corners in “it’s a small world” and turning away from the action in Pirates of the Caribbean just to see how lighting, speakers, and special effects create that Disney magic. The park is full of fascinating details, like the honored individuals on the windows of Main Street, the Little Man of Disneyland tucked away in Adventureland, or even the subtle rumble you can feel on the San Fransokyo Gate Bridge.

But for me, it always comes back to the music. Disneyland’s live performers are some of the most talented musicians anywhere. The Straw Hatters, the Pearly Band, and the Disneyland Band create atmosphere that no effect can replicate. And who can resist smiling when the Green Army Men drummers come marching by? The magic of Disneyland simply isn’t complete without those unforgettable sounds.

My Disney experience is built from all these small but meaningful pieces - bits of history, places that spark childhood memories, and the sounds and smells that instantly feel like home. That’s Disney magic to me.
